I wanted this picture The Wing Giver when I first saw it at Buddhafield.
Instead I bought Anja in the Horse Chestnut which is also marvellous , but when I got home I felt some regret at not buying The Wing Giver at the same time.
It's a haunting and deeply resonant image for me. My wife pointed out that it reminded her of the work of one of our favourite 20th Century artists Remedios Varo.
